I'M NEW TO EPIC LIFE

First off, thanks for learning more about Epic Life. We are the college / young adult group at Capital Christian, but we believe we are far different than what you would expect. Here is a little information about us:

We are passionate about Jesus.

We are a community centered around our passion for Jesus. We are everyday people who believe with a strong conviction that there is so much more to this thing called Christianity. We are not a ‘singles’ ministry and we are not in the business of telling people they are going to hell or otherwise. We are about discovering the love of God and His purposes for our generation. The age makeup of our group is college age and twenty-somethings. There might some variety here and there, but if you are a young adult trying to figure out life and God, you will be very comfortable in our setting. Within this age range, you will find amazing people: dreamers, entrepreneurs, students, professionals, athletes, musicians and everything in between. We love the variety of passions and giftings in our group and we seek to find how every gift can glorify Jesus.

Our main service occurs each week on Thursday night around 7pm at Capital Christian Center. We either meet in the Chapel or the Performing Arts Center located next to the Capital Christian School. Check out our calendar to see where we are this week. Our service starts at 7:20 but pizza arrives at 7:00 and you’ll find us hanging out and catching up. Don’t worry, there is always enough for all.

Many of our regular attendees also attend a Friday night group called Brigade held in Rancho Cordova. This is where we go deeper and facilitate more personal interaction with each other. Expect a packed house of fun people and lots of inspirational take aways for growing in Christ. You can learn more about Brigade here.

Since you are new, let me put your mind at ease about what you will not find at Epic Life:

• We won’t force you to register and give us all your personal information.
• We won’t embarrass you or point out that you are new.
• We don’t preach and teach condemnation or fire and brimstone. (That typically doesn’t work)

We can’t stand division or fighting amongst Christians about churches and various denominations. We love unity among believers and even meet regularly with other young adult ministries in the region. We love and support them and welcome and encourage you to check them out and find the best place for you to grow.

Every week we WILL teach the Word of God and paint a picture of every person’s potential in Christ. We will learn and discover how together we can grow deeper in our relationship, knowledge and wisdom of our God.
